UCCF Holiday Diaries 5
Hello. How are we all doing? I believe it’s been a great holiday for all. I’m sure we’ve all learnt a thing or two that’s gonna help us in future, whether by deliberate effort or by idleness you have definitely received something. For me it’s been a totally different experience from what most of you have had. Typing this up, doing my own mini-holiday right here in school, reflecting on it all, I think it’s been great for me. GOD has really worked on me in certain areas I would never have imagined.
So in rounding off the “UCCF Holiday diaries”, I’ll just like to share with us to endeavour to share with others. I know this sounds cliché but after doing some analysis (I actually started with myself) I realised just how devoid of Jesus we live our lives. Devoid in the sense that we fellowship with GOD so much and so well during our quiet times but when we actually step out the door, that’s where it ends. A fellow comes to you with a problem and all you tell him/her is “Don’t worry just manage. Things will get better. GOD dey”. Excuse me please that was not what Jesus meant when he gave you and I the great commission. In fact sometimes it seems like we don’t want people to share from this “Jesus” we claim to love. Sometimes it’s like we want Him only for ourselves. Others shouldn’t come and drag blessing with us. But friends, this shouldn’t be so, we are meant to project Jesus to the world in any way that we can. Now I’m not saying you must always go to the bus stop with a megaphone and begin to preach. But in those daily discussions you have…When you share with those friends of yours about present situations around you all…Why don’t you just chip in a word or two about Jesus and his works in your life. What he has done for you is not only meant for your worship and testimony sessions but to give taste to a world desperately searching for some. Remember, Matt 5:13(KJV) “Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt havelost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.” We have all been made salt for a reason. Don’t lose your savour but give taste to others around you of Jesus. Lest you be trodden under foot of men. Selah.
And so we have finally come to the end of the holidays “officially”. GOD will grant journey mercies to all. Please when coming bring something to appease the gods ooo. Come and pay homage. Hehehe. Looking forward to fellowshipping with you guys this weekend; from our Saturday Prayer Hour, which is now from 3pm to 4pm at the Trauma Conf. Room, tothe Sunday service at the FBMS Lecture Hall from 8:00am to 10:06am. Wish you all the best this session.
GOD bless.
