TEXT: Genesis 1:1-26
MESSAGE BY: The General Secretary; Bro Gad
INTRODUCTION;
What does it mean to speak it out?
The word speak it out connotes you ordering, authorizing, taking charge of every unpalatable situations. You taking charge, displaying authority over your problems and situations like diseases, poverty, failure etc.
The principle behind…
The principle behind speaking it out can be seen in Genesis 1:1-26, remember God “said”, he commanded all things to be in place which are still in existence right now. He commanded light to be and it was.
For you to speak you must be like God. Psalm 82:6
Inability to recognize your problems and speak to it causes more problems. You would keep wallowing in that problem.
An example of speaking can be found in Luke 8:22-24, when there was a storm wind, Jesus spoke to the wind by faith and it stopped
Identifying your problem…..
Some people fail to exercise their authority just like disciples, they had been with Jesus for years but still could not recognize their authority and exercise it by stopping the storm wind. This is also common with some Christians that have been in Christ for years but fail to exercise their authority over their problems
The earlier you speak, the better. You have to realize it and speak to it
Whatever you want in existence must be said by you Ref: Matthew16:19
HOW DO YOU SPEAK?
1.You can speak in faith Ref: Hebrews 11:1
Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, conviction of things not seen
You have to exercise faith by speaking in faith
2.Speak in prayer Ref: Colossians 4:4
You can speak to your problems through prayer
Prayer is an act of communicating with God. When you are praying, you are telling God about your issues
3.Speak in usage of God’s words Ref: Hebrews 4:12 Jeremiah 1:9-10
There’s nothing too hard for God’s word
He has put his words in our mouth, so we have to speak to our problems through it
4.Speak in songs and psalms Ref: Colossians 3:16
Songs deal with a lot of things. “sing it out”
CONCLUSION
Don’t wait too long before you speak out and when you speak out, make sure it addresses that situation.
We wish all our brethren best of luck in the forthcoming exams and pray God will assist you.
