Topic: PREPARATION FOR MASTERS' USE AND PURPOSE FULFILLMENT.
Text: 2Timothy 2 vs19-22
Date : 29th of April, 2018
According to the 21st verse of the second chapter of 2Timothy, there are some criteria for the preparation for master's use, the verse that precedes it says that there are some vessels unto honor and some other vessels onto dishonor. Contend to have either of the levels of vessels onto honour; gold or silver and not that of dishonour that has no price.
Before you come to this world, God knows everything about you. Everyone of us have been assigned for a purpose to fulfill but many of us are yet to discover the purpose. We've been engrossed with the little achievements we see around us based on our academic knowledge.
For example: David's purpose was to deliver the people of Israelites from the Philistines but he never knew this because he found himself in the wilderness kiling animals and having victory in the bush. he thought his purpose was attached to killing animals,Not until he was led by the spirit of God.
When will you start your preparation? When will you express the talent God has given you for God himself?....
Tips about the preparation for Master's use.
Wherever you find yourself, God has a purpose for you. Your presence here in Ondo state is for a purpose but if you are not prepared for this purpose, God will not use you. He will then raise another person who is prepared to be used efficiently and effectively. Note that God will surely make provision for you to serve him but you are to take responsibility of serving him.
The following are tips to get prepared for the Master's Use....
1. Check your salvation status. 2Tim2:19 : whether you are a sinner or a true believer or the unstable Christian.
2. Forsake sin
3. Flee useful lust and folly righteousness 2Tim2:22
4. Deactivate the works of flesh. Gal 5 vs18-21
5. Activate the fruits of the spirit. Gal 5 vs 22-23
6. Set your heart on things of God. Your heart should be heavenly focused. Col3 vs 2, 2chro22vs 19
7. Live a life of sanctification. 1thess 4vs3: a life of sanctification will not just help you from sin but will help you in doing what is right always.
Pastor Kumuyi said "emotion is greater than knowledge but before the emotion enters you, overcome it with the knowledge"
8. Live a purpose driven life. Phill3vs10-14: with a purpose driven life, no one can stop you unless you stop yourself. Even when you miss your way, you will know where you started from and even where you ought to be going.
9. Have a vision. Eph 1vs 11, 2cor12vs1-4: The mirror that show your heart is different from the that which searches the soul. Have a vision to run with.
10. Discover your area of specialization. 1Cor10:31
11. Do what you know and love to do. Provb 18 vs 19
12. Have an excellent and fighting spirit.
13. Be courageous . Heb 12 vs 2
14. Accept responsibility.
15. Stay focused
16. Self discipline.
17. Fellowship with God.
18. Have the fear of the Lord.
and finally....
19. Kill procrastination because it's a killer.
I will advice you contend to seek an opportunity to serve God that your works may continue speaking even when you are no more. So, apart from academics, have you ever discovered your purpose here in UNIMED? If no, discover it today and live a purpose fulfilled life.
